As a renewable resource, the continued extration of ground water continues to deplete Natural supply. The recycling of this spent water, to be recharged back into the ground, is not only inefficient, but,  a questionable practice. it has been done as a conventional method, the path of least resistance, dilution. Your Point is well taken, but a point that leads right back to its very existance, how many times before the recharged ratio offsets the conventional theory of dilution.
