Am I the only one who remembers the WPA projects that Roosevelt introduced... This is an example of what Americans need to do to invest in America not foreign lands. And this War in Iraq is exactly the opposite of how we need to invest our tax dollars. And yes, I know that this has been talked about for 2 years, but we must establish a new Energy Department at the national level to stimulate Americans, with tax incentives if necessary, to make more efforts to free us of foreign fuels, to better develop our own reserves, and to earnestly develop alternative fuels. This is no longer an option, it is an necessity. Besides we are just allowing another deadly national problem to get out of control if we do not: pollution. No, but those who are have my sympathy.
