water quality testing
MammaOf2 asked:

I got a water quality test from home depot and tested the tap water at my house (it’s city water). The tests came back as “good” except for 2. One says I have hard water. I have a water softener, though, so I’m thinking it may not be working well enough. I’ll grab the manual for that question. The second test that came out as “caution” was for the PH level of the water. It was around 5. What can I do to adjust the PH of the water? Do I contact the city with my concern, or is this something I should even be concerned about?

We are all guilty of it at some time. We know it and yet we still do it. We do not drink enough water. Do you get the recommended eight glasses of liquid each day? I moved here a few months ago, and everything seemed fine. I have city water. I have noticed that my laundry (even with dryer sheets) comes out smelling a little like ammonia. I have also noticed that the area around homes that have well water has the same distinct odor. The water in my master bath sink has the same odor… sort of like ammonia. When you wash your hands or face, they will have that smell. Any ideas what it could be and what I might be able to do to remedy it? Sometimes the odor is more pungent than others. Any idea, greatly appreciated.
