What would be the approximate cost for each (lower New York State area)? It’s basically to find contaminants or impurities. Anyone with any suggestions? Website link welcome. I’ve done some research but all of them somehow require a kit or some sort of it.

How is tap water tested for contamination at the local water treatment facility where you live? Have you ever wondered if the test results that your facility is reporting are truly within EPA standard limits, or are they just made to look that way? What if I told you that you can prove for yourself whether they are lying or not?

 

The EPA requires that there be zero tolerance for microbial contaminants such as Giardia, Cryptosporidium, Legionella, Campylobacter, and E-Coli. Many other microbes in the water supply are allowed to stay because they are immune to the deadly effects of Chlorine disinfection. This fact surprises many people.

 

Another shocker when people ask how is tap water tested for contamination is that the majority of the chemicals that are found in the water supply have actually been given safe limits for ingestion. Even if these chemicals were over the limit there is nothing that the treatment facility is able to do about it.

 

The equipment that the facilities most commonly use are not designed to block anything that is in liquid form, so these chemicals henceforth enter your tap water. If you really want the story on exactly what you are getting in your home tap water then you will just have to test it yourself.

 

So, how is tap water tested for contamination by the homeowner? Using a home water testing kit will tell you the true story about your drinking water that the EPA and the treatment facilities don’t want you to know. I suggest purchasing the professional grade kit, as you will receive more accurate results.

 

These kits test for microbes, Coliform, E- Coli, Ammonia Nitrogen, Chlorine level, Chlorine DPD, Iron, Phosphates, Zinc, Nitrates, Nitrite, and will also test for water harness which contributes to scale formation and excessive soap consumption. I would be will to bet from my own experience that you turn up positive for high levels across the board.

 

Now that you know the answer to how is tap water tested for contamination, what are you going to do about the positive results that you receive from this testing? I was so disturbed by the results that I got that I immediately began to look for a home water purification kit so that I could protect my family’s health.

 

Knowing that both the EPA and the drinking water treatment facilities are helpless to do anything about these dangerous impurities in our drinking water should at that point be enough to change anyone’s mind about trying to find a way to stem the tide of contaminants that are entering your house on a daily basis.

 

Just knowing the answer to how is tap water tested for contamination is not enough. Defensive action must be taken in order that our children are not exposed to these poisons any longer so that they will grow up to live healthy, happy, and prosperous lives, and that we shall be able to watch as our grandchildren come into the world. Who would want to miss that?
