We recently have had a lot of rust in our well water that does not filter out.
I have heard that iron is not good for people over 50, and have concerns about heavy metals in general.
Should I be concerned?
Suggestions for filtration that will clean up the water?

We are all guilty of it at some time. We know it and yet we still do it. We do not drink enough water. Do you get the recommended eight glasses of liquid each day? Perhaps it is because of the drinking water quality in your area. City water has long been the blame for people not drinking enough tap fluid.

We are getting ready to plant our first garden (Yippy!!) and of course we are looking forward to a bounty of tomatoes. However, we have a shallow well and the water is undrinkable due to high salt content (it might also be high in iron – I suppose need to get it tested?). I am concerned how this might affect our garden when we need to water it off our well water.
